Special Recognition
The Special Recognition award goes to a local non-profit that has gone above and beyond for our community. This year, the award goes to the Boyertown Area Historical Society!

Founded in 1972, the Boyertown Area Historical Society strives “To collect and preserve historically significant items and information from the Boyertown area past while enabling this history to be enjoyed and studied into the Boyertown area future.” While they do a phenomenal job of preserving the history of our community, they have also contributed many events and activities to the Boyertown area over the years. They hold metal detecting events, run the town Halloween parade, lead local town tours, and most recently, they have acquired the Bahr’s Mill as a piece of our history. They are always looking for ways to preserve the town’s history and they do so with pride.
